Almost 1 year old!

Samantha's 1st birthday is on Monday and I can hardly believe it! I doesn't feel like a year has gone by since I was 9 months pregnant. The time while Jim has been gone is bittersweet. I want the time to pass quickly so that he will be home again, but at the same time, I don't want Sammie to grow up too fast! I want to enjoy her as a baby because it won't last long. She loves to walk around holding onto my hands, but she hasn't yet taken a step on her own. Shouldn't be too long now. She can sign "milk" and just over the past few days she has started signing "more" and "drink"! It is so cute! I have been trying to teach her those last two for a while now, but I wasn't as consistent as I could be, so I am very excited to see that she is learning to sign anyway. She can make dog and cat sounds, and yesterday she was looking at a kitty cat book that my aunt Peggy and cousins Jonell and David gave to her and was meowing all by herself! Ok, enough rambles from mommy land. I'm sure new pictures will be up soon of the birthday party!
