As I've finally gotten caught up (sorta) reading all of my friends' blogs, I've started to wonder how you guys make your blogs look so cool!
How do you put a fun picture in the heading? How do you change the backgrounds to cute little designs? I'm at a loss! All I can figure out how to do is change my settings from the ones that blogspot already has. Their preset templates or whatever. Please, someone, help me! Maybe I'll get around to making my blog pretty. Someday.

When you pick a cute one and click on it the instructions are on the bottom of the page. (you don't want one that says 3 column with your current format.)

Lots of programs can do it. Paint, Powerpoint, Photoshop... what do you want to try and I'll see if I can talk you through it.
Do you have Powerpoint? Just add the pictures on the first slide and when they are arranged the way you like them (borders, etc.) select them all, right-click and group them. Then right-click "save as picture."

(And like your friend Sara recommends, I always do my headers in powerpoint, since we don't have photoshop -- but I wish I did. Although, if you don't want to fuss with powerpoint, blogger will let you upload a photo and put text over it, if you'd like to do that.)
I got my header banner thing from ShabbyPrincess.com. I think it cost me about 3 bux. I need to do a little updating myself, someday, someday...
