Ahh, the snow!

Christmas has come and gone and now the New Year is already here! Sammie and I take off in a few days to move back to OK, and then we'll spend our time getting the house fixed up and waiting for Jim to come home!

Samantha and I had a good Christmas with the family here. Since my family and Jim's family is in the area we were able to see almost everyone. My sister, Erin, and my brother, Lucas, and his family were home for a week or so, so we had lots of time to hang out. My parents rented a cabin up in the mountains for a few days. There was no snow in the forcast, which was fine with us, but then it snowed after all. Sam had fun going outside and watching me play in the snow because she didn't know quite what to do with the white powdery stuff. Unfortunately her cousin, Norah, was sick and wasn't feeling well for most of the visit. Finally, towards the end of the week the girls started playing together. Sammie liked to feed Norah fish crackers and then steal Norah's raisins. Sammie also liked to steal whatever toy Norah was playing with. Hmmm. I've got a challenge ahead of me with this little girl!

Sammie is so cute in her snow gear!

Sammie and I enjoy reading in our new chairs together! Sammie got this cool kiddie arm chair from my parents for Christmas. She loves it!

It is weird to think how quickly 2007 went by. It was this time last year that I was saying goodbye to Jim and had moved home to live with my parents. I knew that looking back on this year it would seem that time had gone quickly, but day to day the year seemed to go by slowly. Last January it was so hard to think that Jim wouldn't be home for an entire year. And look, here we are already! My parents have been awesome and I want everyone to know how much I appreciate them and love them!
