As for the past few weeks since I've been off the blog radar, we have had a lot going on! We took a two week trip back to California to visit family. It was a much needed vacation and a much anticipated trip. Jim hadn't been home since he returned from his last deployment in January. That's a long time! We first stayed one week with Jim's parents and got to enjoy their company and their grandparenting skills. They had just redone the guest bedroom and bathroom and did a great job of it! The Mickey Mouse themed bathroom had been around for a long, long time, and Sue and Bob were happy to now have an "adult" guest bathroom. It looked great you guys!
We also stayed a week with my parents and got to enjoy their company and lattes from their espresso machine. Yum! During stays at both households we visited with many, many grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters, brothers, friends, etc. It was great to see everyone but boy were we worn out after two weeks! Sammie was worn out as well. We were on the go so much that she often missed her nap which caused quite a few afternoon meltdowns. And some mid morning meltdowns. And bathtime meltdowns. But overall Sammie did great. She slept well at each household, provided endless entertainment to her grandparents, and did great on the plane rides.
Jim and I took advantage of being in California to go and visit grad schools. We went to Stanford, Berkeley, and the Naval Post Graduate School (NPS) in Monterey. Jim had not previously considered Stanford, but after visiting with the Golby's (yea!) and another West Point aquaintance who are now attending there, I think Stanford is his top choice! It was really awesome to see Kristen and Jim and Kathleen and Madeline. Seeing Kristen and Jim it was as if no time had passed since we hung out with them in Germany! But really, it has been about three years! I guess the presence of our three girls is proof of that! We had a great visit and our girls managed to play together pretty well in a Stanford quad area and food court. It would be so neat if we could go to Stanford next year and live next to them at Moffet Air Field!
As for pictures, they are all saved on Jim's laptop so I will have to upload some later!
Oh, and we had an ultrasound in California and found out that we are having another GIRL!!!!!!

We love sisters! Congratulations!
It was so, so good to see you guys, and we're really glad Stanford is topping your list. We'll be praying that you'll be moving to Moffett this summer!
I guess you were not able to break the Germany trend of having two children of the same sex. At least you guys are all consistent. Maybe if we space it out like Rick and Paula we will be able to break it.
