Yesterday Sammie and I made cupcakes to take to our church group potluck yesterday. I gave Sammie one cupcake with frosting and some valentine's sprinkles to decorate it while I did all the others. I put the sprinkles in the lid of the frosting to try to contain them. She started off by sticking the sprinkle hearts on one at a time by shoving them deep down into the frosting. Then she started taking bites of her cupcake but only made it into the frosting, not the actual cupcake. Then she decided to stick her face into the lid with the sprinkles to "drink" them and these pictures are the result....as you can see the sprinkles definitely stick to frosting pretty well!

Latest updates....
Life with two has been keeping me busy! Between nursing and changing Reese I'm entertaining and feeding Sammie. I'm also up and down helping Sammie go potty on her potty chair. She's doing a really good job too, but needs help pulling up her pants and washing her hands. I also have to guard the toilet paper or else she will unravel the entire role for one wipe. So, that has been my life lately. We have made it out and about with just me and the two girls a few times. We've been to Walmart a few times and to MOPs this week. So far so good. My next excursion will be to the commissary (grocery store on base) with two kids. We'll see how that goes. Reese does a lot better in her car seat than Sammie did. She stays asleep while we run errands, while Sammie would wake up and want to be held. This makes shopping a little easier.

Spikes!
Sammie's got a cool do. She's 9 months old here.

Oh, Reese is such a cutie. She doesn't look like a new baby with all that hair. You're doing such a good job. Just keeping two kids alive is a huge achievement... and you manage to do something like make cupcakes on top of that! I'm amazed!
oh so cute, they keep you busy though!
I had a friend take a picture every month of her baby in front of the same stuffed animal and it was so very cute and neat to see them grow!
I love it! The sprinkles take the cake. Hahaha! Get it? Take the, ooooh. Yeah.
Sweet pictures, Joni. Thanks! :)
Hilarious photo of Sammie. Reese is already getting big!!
B-E-A-utiful! Both girls, the mess and all!
So, the intro to two is rough. There's no two ways about it. But it gets easier. And it sounds like you're doing great!
Plus, your girls are darling. What cuties!
Love the sprinkles!! Glad to know you are adjusting well to life with two kids...we're next!
Loved getting your announcement/Christmas/New Year/Valentine greeting today! What a great idea that was! Adorable photos, too! Miss you!
Hi Joni!
I'm new to reading your blog(from Beth's site). Your babies are gorgeous! Congratulations and God bless your little family!
Congratulations, too, on Sammie's success with potty training. I want to suggest you be sure to put the roll on with the "end to the back" not "forward off the top". That way a toddler isn't as likely to free spin all the paper off the roll. They have to use two hands to hold the roll and pull off the end. Good luck!

Aw, little Reese is changing so fast . . . I think she misses me.
