Is it really March already?

I just couldn't help myself, I had to put up all these pictures of my cute Reesie-girl. She has started smiling now and it is so sweet. I love it when I can lean over her and talk to her and she rewards me with a huge, gummy grin.

A few random thoughts....
...toddlers don't do well going through revolving doors by themselves. I discovered this when I let Sam go through the revolving doors at the hospital by herself. First she stopped and put her hand on the wall and the door slid over and squished her hand, and when I went to rescue her she tried to walk back toward me but the revolving door smacked her in the face. It was a sad and traumatic moment. Luckily she had a lollipop in hand to distract her at Reese's doctor appointment and I let her open it up early. She soon forgot about the scary, revolving door....

...infants can wiggle and move around enough to pull blankets over their faces that are hanging on the side of the crib. Apparently all those warning from EVERYONE about not having anything in the crib with your baby are based on incidents like this. Poor baby Reese woke up screaming, and it was the kind of screaming where you know something is wrong. I ran in and she had pulled a blnket over her face and it was so scary! I'm so glad my mothering instinct kicked in and I knew her cry was an important one!

...apparently Sammie has trouble falling asleep when dad is not home. Both nights this weekend Jim was gone at bedtime and Sammie kept calling for him and she wouln't fall asleep. She stayed awake unitl he could come home and read books. Also, today at nap time she heard Jim leave the house for a run with a friend (he's training for a half marathon), and she got up from her nap and didn't fall back asleep for a long time. She's turning into such a daddy's girl!

Ok, on to a few more pictures of my sweet fam...
The dry winter air has been causing some funny hair days!
Jim is such a good dad! He loves spending time with his girls, although he does admit to forgeting about Reese because Sammie demands so much more time and attention these days!

Those are great pictures of Reese. And I love the static picture. I know all too well what the air here does to little heads.
