Lots of Family Visitors and Moving News....

April was a month of Family! First Jim's parents, Bob and Sue, came out during their Spring Break from school. In the past it would take Sammie a day or two to warm up to her grandparents...well, mostly the grandpas. But this time she was super pumped about them right away and jumped and squealed all over them, it was great! Bob and Sue were here for Easter and we had an indoor Easter Egg hunt due to inclement weather. Sue brought some great extra large eggs that had Little People in them and that was a big hit with the Samster. It was also the Starling's first time to see Baby Reese and they just ate her up! Just look at this sweet thing!

After we said goodbye to Bob and Sue we had to say another goodbye to our dear friends, the Walters. Sniff, sniff. But before they left, Bob and Sue babysat for us so that we could go out on a double date with Josh and Beth. Thanks guys! It was our one and only double date with the Walters during the nine months they were here. Kind of sad, I know, but thats what happens when you are too lazy to invest in finding a responsible teenage babysitter to call on now and then. Anyway, we had a fun, child-free evening at Olive Garden listening to Josh regale us with stories about the Rambo-Squirrel that lives in the attic of their new house. It has been sad not having the Walters down the street, but we know they are moving on to big and better things (like glaciers and BB guns) in Alaska. :)

And then, after the Starlings and the Walters left, we finally got to say hello again to my parents! They flew in to Oklahoma and then we all drove to Arkansas for the wedding of a close family friend. My brother and his family also flew out and we met up with them there. Basically, it was a Cherry family reunion at Andrew Ingle's wedding. It was a good time visiting with the fam and with our Ingle Family friends. Sammie and her cousin Norah played great together. I think it was the first time that they could really communicate with each other, so it was fun to see them talk and play. I'm looking forward to lots of cousin get togethers while we are in California. Here is a pic of the two crazy cousins in action. They are rocking out at the weddding reception.

Ok, so here's the news about us moving to Monterey! We have just over three weeks left in Oklahoma! Crazy! The time is coming fast when we will have to say goodbye to the home that we brought both of our babies home to. But then we will also be saying goodbye to the ridiculous Oklahoma weather, and that won't be so bad. As my dad said "Oklahoma doesn't have it's own weather, it just gets the leftovers from the rest of the country." Ah, so true. We already have renters who will move in the first of June (yea!) and i think they will be a good family to have here. They also have a home that they rent out near Ft.Campbell so I think they will take care of our home. Hopefully anyway.
And another pic of Sam for good measure...

I've missed seeing you, will you be at the next Mops meeting? Time will fly these next few weeks. If you need anything please ask. It's great you've found renters...one huge thing off your plate. My friends in CA know you're coming and are willing to help in any way.

It's been great knowing you this short while and we wish you, Jim and the girls all the best in life.

Yay for visitors, we were sad to leave you guys too, but whoo for renters already! I hope everything goes smoothly the next few weeks for you guys. We miss you. Zeke has asked for Jomi quite a few times already.

Have you met whoever moved into our old house yet?
