Awe, such a sweet picture. I hope Sammie will act as lovingly towards her new baby sister once she is born as she is in this picture! Can't believe we will have another baby in the house in just a matter of weeks! I'm not sure if I'm ready. How did you guys all do it with your second child! Do you just prepare yourself in advance and plan on not getting anything accomplished for the first few months? I mean, feeding and changing a newborn can take up all day let alone entertaining and feeding a two year old. I guess we'll just see what happens.
Here is more of a side view to see how big my tummy is getting. I've been way more conscious of how much weight I'm gaining the second time around. When I was pregnant with Sammie I didn't own a scale and it was too hot to go outside so I just sat on the couch all day sleeping and eating. Sooo, I gained a lot. But this time around I keep track of my weight with my very own scale (what a concept!) and I've been exercising more regularly and eating better. Also, chasing Sammie around all day helps burn some extra calories! All this to say that I'm proud of my smaller weight gain this time around!
And this picture is just too cute not to share. Ani is a wonderful dog and friend for Sammie. I walked into our playroom the other day and found Sammie laying down on top of Ani this way giving her hugs and kisses, it was adorable! And Ani the good dog just lays there and takes it. Although I look back and think that Jim and I were crazy for getting a puppy right away in Germany, it turns out that it was a good plan after all. I guess God knew what he was doing! Because now Ani is 5 1/2 years old and is way past her puppy/destructive/crazy stage and just likes to lay around taking abuse from 2 year olds. Perfect timing!

Such a cute belly! Don't have any advice for you as I haven't taken the baby #2 plunge yet. I guess if I wait long enough everyone will have been through it and have advice for me. Have a great Thanksgiving and birthday since it should have/will occur soon.
Not get things done for a few months...ha try ever! I remember being in Germany and not 2 weeks after having Soren David left for Beach break w/the H.S. and M.S. I wasn't sure how I was going to do it but, you just DO. You get through it and everything works out fine. You'll do great! Your house may not be clean and dinner may be PBJ but it will all work out.
Looking good!
You look great, Joni! And you know I love that picture of Ani and Sammie. I swear, it was yesterday that she was an infant resting against Ani. They have such a cute little friendship. Time flies! Love you!
Hi Joni!! I just found your blog through Stephanie Scott's--so fun!! I will be praying for you as Daughter #2 makes her way into the world--how exciting!! It looks like things are going great for you! Will you be in Oklahoma much longer? I'm back in California now; my boyfriend's in the Marine Corps and stationed at Camp Pendleton, which is great since I'm near my family.
I loved getting to virtually catch up with you!
Love, Molly
Looking great! And happy belated birthday!! And I did get your message and I will call you back. :-)
Hey Joni! Just wanted to leave you a little note and see how you were feeling! I know you are two weeks ahead of me, so the time is coming soon! I wish you all the best of luck and can't wait to see pics of your new little bundle! Have you guys decided on a name for her yet? Hope you had a great holiday season! Take care!
Stefanie
