My daughter the tomboy...

So, big news in the Starling household, we bought Sammie a big girl bed! The crib went bye-bye and we bought a cute, white bed off of Craigslist for only $65. Gotta love Craigslist! After buying a twin mattress at Big Lots we drove over to Ross (you can tell we are big spenders over here) to pick out some new bedding. I thought we'd let Sammie pick out some sheets and I would get a simple comforter to cover up whatever crazy cartoon thing she picked out. Did Sammie want the Nemo sheets? Nooooo. Did she want the cute winter, penguin sheets? Nooooo. Did she want Princess Sheets? Nooooo. She wanted the trucks, trains, and buses sheets! Boy did she cling to those! She wasn't about to let them get away from her! So under the pink comforter that I picked out in an attempt to girlify her new bed, are the truck, train and bus sheets!

And she loves her new bed! She even gets in under the covers and stays that way. It was sad to move on from the toddler/crib bed, but it was time. She had refused to sleep in it for the past week and slept in the guest room instead. Now we just have another couple of months until a new baby gets to sleep in the crib! Crazy! I'll be 31 weeks on Wednesday.

Sammie also loves to help her daddy "fix" things. She's way into tools and loves to follow him around while he works on little projects around the house. What a kid. She's going to be a Miss Handywoman who drives a truck when she's older.
