Halloween and fun times

Ack! I can't believe it's November already! October went by sooo fast! My parents were just here visiting and I really didn't get many pictures at all of them! What a bad daughter. But we had fun doing our usual hanging out around the house and taking trips to favorite restaurants. My parents helped quite a bit with some medical issues too....I had to go get my glucose tested at the hospital "whenever I had a free hour" as my doctor put it. Free hour? With a two year old? Who can sit and wait an hour in a hospital after drinking that glucose drink and then get their blood taken with a two year old? Not me anyway. So my parents watched Sammie at home which helped a lot. Then, a few days later I took Sammie back to the hospital so that we could get our flu shots. My first attempt at getting the flu shot utterly failed when I couldn't find a parking spot anywhere in the vicinity of the hospital. So we went to the park instead. We took grandpa with us to drop us off (in case we couldn't find parking again) and grandma came inside with us to the flu clinic. And we finally got our shots! Yea!

Ok, now on to something more fun. Halloween! Sammie was a kitty for halloween this year. She loves kitties. She has four different stuffed kitty cats and they are cleverly named, grey kitty, white kitty, pink kitty, and Sagwa. Sagwa is named after the cartoon kitty on a show called Sagwa. Anyway, it was the easiest and cheapest costume that I could come up with so that's what she was! She was excited to put on "make ups" and even wore her kitty ears around most of the evening. This was very exciting for me because she wouldn't even try them on up until Halloween evening. Beth brought Zeke and Deacon over and we took pictures and went to a few neighbor's houses. I took them around to the neighbors that I actually knew, and it turns out that most of them were Halloween bums and didn't feel like handing out candy. Oh well. Sammie still got a little bit which was enough. Our neighborhood is a Halloween Mecca for some reason and kids from all over flood our streets with their costumed selves, so we just hung out in the front yard to hand out candy. Jim and Sammie did most of candy handing-outing and I sat on the grass and enjoyed the warm fall evening. It was a good night!
